About the Role

Responsibilities

Product Strategy:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with overall company goals.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs.

Product Development:
• Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to bring products to market.

Roadmap Planning:
• Create and communicate a clear product roadmap outlining priorities, timelines, and key milestones.
• Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value and customer impact.

User-Centric Design:
• Champion a user-centric approach in product development, ensuring that products meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly experiences.

Market Positioning:
• Define and communicate the unique value proposition of products in the market.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor products, and industry developments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure a cohesive and successful product launch.
• Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements Definition:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define product requirements.
• Clearly articulate and document product specifications.

Product Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Ensure rigorous testing of products to meet quality standards.
• Work with quality assurance teams to identify and address issues.

Performance Monitoring:
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of products.
• Monitor and analyze product performance post-launch and iterate based on data.

Customer Feedback:
• Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements.
• Implement feedback loops to continuously enhance products.

Requirements

  1. Education:

    • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is typically required. Some positions may prefer or require a master's degree.

  2. Experience:

    • Proven experience in product management, ranging from 3 to 7 years or more.

    • Previous experience in a related role such as project management, business analysis, or development can be beneficial.

  3. Industry Knowledge:

    • Understanding of the industry in which the company operates, as well as knowledge of market trends, competition, and customer needs.

  4. Communication Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey product concepts, requirements, and priorities to cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executives.

  5. Leadership Skills:

    • Strong leadership qualities to guide and motivate cross-functional teams without direct authority.

    • Ability to make decisions and take ownership of the product's success.

  6. Analytical Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to gather and interpret data, perform market analysis, and make data-driven decisions.

  7. Strategic Thinking:

    • Ability to think strategically and align product strategies with overall business goals.

  8. User-Centric Mindset:

    • Deep empathy for users and a focus on delivering value to the customer.

    • Experience with user research and usability testing.

  9. Technical Aptitude:

    • Depending on the nature of the product, a basic understanding of the underlying technology and development processes can be beneficial.

  10. Project Management:

    • Proficiency in project management methodologies to ensure timely and successful product launches.

    • Experience with tools such as Jira, Asana, or Trello can be an advantage.

  11. Market Research:

    • Ability to conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities, analyze competition, and stay informed about industry trends.

  12. Financial Acumen:

    • Understanding of budgeting and financial principles related to product development and management.

  13. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support.

  14. Adaptability:

    • Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changes in project scope, priorities, and market conditions.

  15. Negotiation Skills:

    • Skill in negotiating and influencing stakeholders to gain support for product initiatives.

  16. Product Lifecycle Management:

    • Experience with all stages of the product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and ongoing improvement.

  17. Certifications:

    • Relevant certifications in product management, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Pragmatic Marketing, can be valuable.
